The New York Society for General Semantics, in partnership with the Institute of General Semantics, is proud to announce our inaugural Non-Aristotelian Reading Circle. All are welcome to join! Are you new to general semantics? Are you a seasoned scholar, practitioner, or intellectually curious individual? Our meetings will be held virtually, via Zoom, on Tuesday nights from 7pm until 9pm EST. We encourage those with experience in general semantics thinking to bring along friends and colleagues new to the discipline in order to expand our reach.
The Non-Aristotelian Reading Circle is proud to present a relative newcomer in the library of GS literature. Beginning November 9th, 2022, registered participants will join members of the New York Society for General Semantics and the Institute of General Semantics for a reading of Christopher Mayer's 2022 release "Dear Fellow Time Binder: Letters on General Semantics." The reading circle will conduct a total of five discussions covering the book’s 31 Letters, across the following schedule:
November 8th Letters 1 - 6
November 15th Letters 7 - 12
November 29th Letters 13 - 18
December 13th Letters 19 - 25
December 20th Letters 26 - 31
For those interested in participating, we ask you to visit the New York Society for General Semantics homepage to register.
We will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible. We can’t wait to explore this classic work with all of you, so sign up right away.
