Join us on September 28, 2016 for an evening of poetic performance, in collaboration with Poetry at the Players

In the words of Alfred Korzybski, "poetry often conveys in a few sentences more of lasting values than a whole volume of scientific analysis" (Science and Sanity, p. 437).

We will begin at 6 PM sharp with dramatic readings of poems by the Beats, who were known for their play and experimentation with poetic language. The readings will be performed in conjunction with this month's Poetry at the Players event.

This will be followed by readings of original poetry by general semanticists and language mavens Martin Levinson, David Linton, and Lance Strate, and featuring performance artist Adeena Karasick, author of 8 books of poetry.

Join us for wine and cheese and poetic performance!

6 PM to 9 PM September 9th at the historic Players Club in Gramercy Park.

Registration is free, but all attendees must be registered in order to gain admittance to the club. This includes any guests you might want to bring with you.

The program will take place in the Library on the 2nd floor of the club. Please note that, as an historic 19th century landmark, the site is not handicap accessible

Dress code is business casual.
