September 9th, 2016 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the New York Society for General Semantics.

In celebration, and to kick off our new program series, we will be holding a panel discussion entitled:

Political Talk and Political Drama: Election 2016

featuring:

Terence P. Moran, Professor of Media Ecology, New York University

Marvin Kitman, author, humorist, and critic

Susan J. Drucker, Professor of Journalism, Media Studies and Public Relations, Hofstra University

Paul Levinson, Professor of Communication and Media Studies, Fordham University

and moderated by NYSGS President Lance Strate

Join us for wine and cheese and intellectual stimulation!

6 PM to 9 PM September 9th at the historic Players Club in Gramercy Park. 

Registration is free, but all attendees must be registered in order to gain admittance to the club. This includes any guests you might want to bring with you.

The program will take place in the Library on the 2nd floor of the club. Please note that, as an historic 19th century landmark, the site is not handicap accessible. Dress code is business casual.
